$- 15 y + 7 y + 1 = 3 - 8 y$ $-15y+7y+1=3-8y$

by simplifying the left-hand side,

$\Rightarrow - 8 y + 1 = 3 - 8 y$ $=> -8y+1=3-8y$

by adding $8 y$ $8y$

$\Rightarrow 1 = 3$ $=>1=3$ ,

which is never satisfied.

Since the equation cannot be satisfied regardless of the value of $y$ $y$ , the equation has no solution.
