Will you get karma if you like an answer that you edited?

When you edit an answer.... It doesn't automatically like the answer. So my question is that if you like it..... will you get karma too as you contributed too?

Nope.

Explanation:

If you edit an answer written by another contributor and you give the answer a "like", you will not receive any of the karma points associated with the "like".

As you know, a "like" is equivalent to #100# karma points. These points are distributed to every person who contributed to that answer as a percentage of the total contribution to the answer #-># see here.

So, for example, if you edit an answer and get #20%# of the contribution, any "like" that the answer will receive will get you #20# karma points. However, if you give the answer a "like" after you've edited it, you will not receive the #20# karma points associated with your contribution.

So, long story short, no, you will not get karma if you like an answer that you've edited.
