I'm uncertain what format you want your "solution" in.
You could re-write the inequality
Maybe drawing a graph would be one way of expressing the solution.
To do this
- Draw the line for the equation
#y = x-4# (to do this draw a straight line through the intercept points#(0,-4)# and#(4,0)# - Shade the area below and to the left of your line as the solution area (since y values below this line are less than corresponding values on the line).
