Swamp eels are generalized predators, meaning they consume a variety of prey (fish, tadpoles, crayfish, and more) and are themselves food for other fish, birds, and even humans.
Explanation:
In the US, the swamp eel is an invasive species with no natural predators. It is considered a delicacy in some parts of China. Generally speaking though, little is known or published about the predators of swamp eels even when they're not invasive.
Swamp eels are also known to consume, turtle eggs, shrimp, aquatic insects, worms, frogs.
