Factor: y = 5x^2 - 33x - 14.

Ans: (5x + 2)(x - 7)

Explanation:

I use the new AC Method. y = 5(x + p)(x + q).
Converted trinomial: y' = 5x^2 - 33x - 70.
Factor pairs of (-70) --> (-2, 35). This sum is 33 = -b. Change this sum to the opposite.
Then p' = 2 and q' = -35.
Therefor p = 2/5 and q = -35/5 = -7

y = 5(x + 2/5)(x - 7) = (5x + 2)(x - 7)
