Boyle's law states that the volume of a fixed mass of gas is inversely proportional to it's pressure at a CONSTANT TEMPERATURE.

Explanation:

Suppose the volume of the gas is symbolized as #V#, pressure as #P#, temperature as #T#, #n# is the number of moles of the gas.

So Boyle's law can be explained as,
#V# is proportional to #1/P# (inversely proportional) [#T,n# are constant ]
#V= k# #"x" 1/P# , #k# is a proportionally constant.

#PV = k# (cross multiplication)

So, it can be said that, " At a constant temperature, the product of multiplication of Pressure and Volume of a gas of fixed mass is always a constant."
