y intercept=-6

We want the function to be in y=mx+b form, so we do this by adding x and y on both sides to get

y=x-6.

To find x intercept , we make y=0.

0=x-6

Add 6 on both sides

We get x=6.

To find y intercept , make x=0,

y=0-6

And we get y=-6

y int = -6
