How would you calculate the energy of a photon with a known frequency?

For example, if the frequency is "8x10^13Hz"

The energy of the photon can be calculated using #E = hv#

Explanation:

In the formula #E =hv#:

#E# is the energy in Joules
#h# is Planck's Constant and
#v# is the frequency of the photon (light)

So therefore the Energy of a photon with a frequency of #8*10^13# Hz will be:

#E = hv#
#E = 6.626*10^(-34)# #m^2#.#kg#/#s# x #8*10^13# Hz
#E = 5.3*10^-20# Joules

Therefore the energy of the photon is #5.3*10^-20# Joules

Hope I helped :)
