If I have any neutral substance, if I take an electron AWAY, I have a positive substance. If I add 2 electrons, I have a dianion.

Explanation:

#S + 2e^(-) rarr S^(2-)#

Mass and charge are conserved in any chemical reaction. Both are conserved in the reaction shown. Is this a reduction or an oxidation reaction?
