Iodine does not react with hydrochloric acid. But if it did, theoretically,

#2I + 2HCl -> 2IH + Cl_2#

Explanation:

Iodine is less reactive than chlorine and so does not displace it when reacted.

However, based on the reaction of chlorine with hydrogen iodide (HI), iodine with hydrochloric acid would yield two moles of hydrogen iodide plus a mole of chlorine gas.
