Physics is the study of the basic elements of nature dealing with the key components that govern it, energy, matter and the their interaction in time and space. As such physics provides an important anchor to the to study all higher order scientific studies such us Biology and Chemistry. Without space, matter, energy and time the living organisms will not exist, and the ability to create a science that would study living things, Biology, would not exist either.

Explanation:

Physics is the study of the basic elements of nature dealing with the key components that govern nature, energy, matter and the their interaction in time and space. As physicists studies the natural word, attempting to answer the what? and why? and the how of the universe. Thus physics provides the basis for all other science such us Biology and Chemistry. Without space, matter, energy and time the living organisms would not exist. Thus physics provide an important anchor to the natural make of Biology.

Effectively everything on earth is made of atoms that where manufactured in the a star and deposited in solar system over billions of years. Since biology as study of living things that contain higher order molecules is also made up of atoms the study of Physics is intricately connected to Biology. At macro level some aspects of Biology, such Physiology leverage principles of physics directly (Hydrodynamics vs. Hemodynamics) , so one can argue that the same law of physics govern Biology directly even at the macro level. Another example, it is physics that provide explanation how bats use sound waves to navigate in the dark and how wings give insects the ability to move through the air. The American Physical Society shares that many flowers arrange their seeds or petals in a Fibonacci-like sequence to maximize exposure to light and nutrients. In some cases, biology helps prove physical laws and theories.
