We has #rho#, and we have #"mass"#.

And thus #"Volume"# is the quotient #"Mass"/rho#

#=# #(12*cancelg)/(4*cancelg*mL^-1)# #=# #??*mL#.

Note that the inclusion of units is an extra check on our calculations. We sought a volume; the answer we got had units of volume, i.e. #1/((mL)^-1)=1/(1/(mL))=mL#.

This is a good indication that we are on the right track and have not made an error.
