This is a good question, which I will probably steal for my year 10 practical. You know that the volume of ice is SLIGHTLY greater than the volume of water from which it is made, and that there is an empty volume of 75 mL to fill. That solid water is LESS dense than liquid water under normal conditions is a highly unusual property. Of course the ice will be more buoyant in lemonade than in water. Why?
