Enzymes are specific for certain reactions.
Explanation:
GCSE: Enzymes have an "active site" which is a unique shape and "fits" the substrate perfectly. Therefore it can only catalyse a certain reaction.
A-Level: The shape is decided by the order of the amino acids, which create different proteins with different shaped enzymes.
