- The algal blooms of single-celled protist lives in colonies. It is due to single-celled delicate strucure of the body.
- The fungual protists are slime molds. They are mostly live in the moist soil of forest floors, compost piles and their filaments are formed by the cells placed side by side.
- The animal protists are found either parasite or moist places.
