Solve the second equation for #y#:

#10x - 2y = 6#

#-color(red)(10x) + 10x - 2y = -color(red)(10x) + 6#

#0 - 2y = -10x + 6#

#-2y = -10x + 6#

#(-2y)/color(red)(-2) = (-10x + 6)/color(red)(-2)#

#(color(red)(cancel(color(black)(-2)))y)/cancel(color(red)(-2)) = (-10x)/color(red)(-2) + 6/color(red)(-2)#

#y = 5x - 3#

Because both these equations are in fact the same equation there are an infinite number of solutions for this system.
