An organelle is like the organs in your body. Without the organs your body won't or can't work. The same applies for the cells that make up your body.

Explanation:

We have MANY organs in our body. (Ex: Heart, Liver, Lungs etc.) The same applies for cells. As stated in your question, here are some examples:

  • lysosomes
  • nucleus
  • mitochondria
  • endoplasmic reticulum ( Known as the ER)

These are the parts of cells. All of these function so we can operate. Imagine it like this, what if your heart fails? You die. So, what if your cells start dying? You would die also. That's why organelle is important.
