How do we find densities and solubilities?

How else but by experiment and measurement........?

Explanation:

Now these days we are lucky. Densities and solubilities are extensively quoted on the web.

And "density," rho = "Mass"/"Volume",

And "concentration," = "Moles of solute"/"Volume of solution"

At least for aqueous solutions, the volume does not change substantially upon dissolution of a solute.

Common solubilities, and solution densities are extensively tabulated in the CRC handbook, but again this is an experimental proposition.
