What are the advantages and disadvantages of SOCRATIC?

Socratic, in my opinion, is a GREAT site to go to if you're in need of help in virtually any subject.

For me, my favorite part about it is the community of people that readily help students. With that being said, I also love it when people collaborate on answers, pointing out small errors and helping the helpers!

A primary advantage of Socratic is that the answers, and more importantly the explanations, are most all of the time very thorough and easy to understand, which reflects my proposal that the community here is amazing!

I think the biggest disadvantage of Socratic (which I truly wish I could fix) is that there are also a bunch of questions that don't get answered (at least not for a long time), most of the time after the particular assignment is due. A lot of the time this is due to the fact that the question comes amongst a flood of questions where some are bound to be looked over, and there isn't a whole lot we can do about that... (at least there's a lot of question asked!)

All in all, we have to consider this: no web site is perfect, and none will ever be. There are a lot of helpful tutoring/helpful web sites out there that can answer your questions.

However, Socratic stands out among these, for several reasons:

• It's completely FREE!

• The great community of people here can't be found anywhere else.

• This web site is the most interactive, and easiest to use and navigate around!

• People here can filter questions by subjects that they have expertise in, allowing for (a) less questions left unanswered and (b) better and more thorough responses.

I am sharing my personal experience.
I joined socratic almost 4 months ago because I was preparing for IIT JEE one of the toughest exams ever known.
One of my friends who had already been on socratic suggested me to create an account on socratic after which I could ask any question related to my exams and get instant answers.
This is such a useful site that according to me every learner must have an account on it.
I personally had many benefits because of being on socratic.

I really thank from my bottom of the heart to all the contributors who use their valuable time to answer questions of people like me and help them become successful.
