Using the full Ideal Gas Law equation you can easily observe the changes.

Explanation:

Just a couple of calculations at different points demonstrate the Law relationships more easily than trying to simply conceptualize it.

Just put in any values for two of the variables, and then try different ones for the one you want to change. Observe the change in the other one.

#(P_1 xx V_1)/T_1 = (P_2 xx V_2)/T_2#

IN this example, you are holding the volume constant, so the equation reduces to Boyle's Law:

#P_1/T_1 = P_2/T_2#

Select ANY #P_1 and T_1#. Select ANY #T_2# and calculate #P_2#.

NOW, change #T_2# to a different value, and recalculate #P_2#. Did it increase or decrease with an increase in temperature?
