They wanted to draft a Constitution and to create a Republic

The Constitutional Convention is a gathering that occurred in Philadelphia, they wrote the Seven Articles that became the seven articles of the American Constitution. The ten amendments known as the Bill of Rights were added in 1791 by Madison. The articles had to be ratified by nine out of the thirteen original colonies and it happened only in 1789 and it is when the USA were officially created.
