An old gas law....

Explanation:

This law was an experimental gas law that found that for a given MASS of gas...

#PpropT#...given conditions of constant volume....

And so given this proportionality, #P=kT#...but given a constant mass, i.e. quantity of gas, this equlity should hold across DIFFERENT pressures and temperatures...

And so solving for #P/T=k#...and as temperature and pressure EVOLVES....the equality is maintained, and so....

#P_1/T_1=P_2/T_2#.....

As the molar quantity of the gas evolved, this law could be expanded to the Ideal Gas Law....#PV=nRT#...
