Yes, cellular respiration occurs in plants as well as animals.

There are two key chemical processes that you will be studying at this level. They are cellular respiration and photosynthesis. You may already know that their equations are:

Cellular Respiration:

#C_6H_12O_6 + 6O_2 -> 6CO_2 +6H_2 O +ATP#

Photosynthesis:

#6CO_2 + 6H_2 O -> C_6H_12O_6 + 6O_2#

Please note that the equations above are balanced, as they must be, but many times you will see them without the sixes in front.

Photosynthesis only occurs in plants(well, also some protists and bacteria). However cellular respiration occurs in all kingdoms, with some individual exceptions. A good way to remember this is that it has the words cellular in it, and all living things by definition are made up of cells.

So yes, cellular respiration is in plants(and almost everything else that is living).
