Period is dependent on the angular frequency which depends on the physical configuration of the Oscillator.

For a spring oscillator were the particle has mass #m# and spring has force constant #k#, then

#omega = sqrt(k/m)#

And the time period, #T = (2pi)/omega#

Also for a pendulum of length #l# undergoing simple harmonic motion,

#omega = sqrt(g/l)# represents the angular frequency. And time period is determined from the same relation as before.

The amplitude however, is an arbitrary constant and doesn't quite depend on #k# or #l#.
