If you are a chemist, then the answer is $\textcolor{red}{\text{g}}$. Since chemists work with small numbers when working with samples and other sorts of chemicals, a $\text{kg}$ is not really practical, to be honest.
I am sure there is some reason behind why $\text{kg}$ is used as the SI unit despite $\text{g}$ showing up on every chemistry problem ever written in a chemistry textbook.
