This is not an experiment I would contemplate........

Explanation:

You know what happens when you add water to a hot pan; the water spits and steams. You add acid to hot salt (and you can get salt VERY hot), the acid would spit. As chemists, when we do an experiment, we often blithely ignore the safety hazards involved. And students can tend to be very ignorant.

Anyway, in your proposed experiment, the acid will spit; and if you are not wearing glasses AND a lab coat, the emergency number MIGHT be called. Even if you are wearing a coat and glasses (and you must wear these at a minimum) there is still a lot of exposed skin. Please be careful.
