# Are zinc salts diamagnetic?

For zinc, $Z n$, $Z = 30$, and thus 28 electrons have to be distributed for $Z {n}^{2 +}$.....
A $\left[A r\right] 3 {d}^{10} 4 {s}^{2}$ configuration gives $\left[A r\right] 3 {d}^{10}$ upon ionization, i.e. full valence shells.....and diamagnetic salts.
