# Could you add the except ('\') symbol for Math? Isn't it kinda needed for writing stuff like "all reals except for 0" (RR\{0})?

Oct 14, 2015

$\mathbb{R} - \left\{0\right\}$
was how I was taught in set theory to write this; if this is no longer acceptable, would someone please post. (I've used this notation several times with no objections).

#### Explanation:

(It was a long time ago that I took set therory).

Here's what you can do.

#### Explanation:

To get the "backslash" symbol for math formatting you can write the symbol in between quote marks.

Here's what I mean

• without the hashtags

RR "\" {0}

• with the hashags

$\mathbb{R} \text{\} \left\{0\right\}$
