How do meteoroids move?

1 Answer

Meteoroids are left from meteorites burned in atmosphere with friction with air.

Most originate from the matter leftover by visiting comets. They orbit the sun and when earth crosses their path they enter earth's atmosphere and burn.

They have high velocity before entering earth's atmosphere, Their speed varies from #11 (km)/sec# (25,000 mph), to #72 9(km)/sec# (160,000 mph).
