# How do you measure the parallax angle of a star?

Jun 5, 2018

Parallax angle of a star is measured by the following method:-

#### Explanation:

$\implies$Once a star is selected on which the scientists have to find the parallax angle,

$\implies$ Its position is thus recorded by them(Let it be A)

$\implies$Again after 6 months, the position of the same star is measured which is sure to be different . This position of the star which is measured after the 6 months is the apparent position of the star.(Let it be B)

$\implies$Thus an angle is formed between a A and B is the parallax angle of the star measured in arcseconds.
