Examine the expression #48x^2y+20xz+12xy+5z# for pairs of terms with common factors, then group those terms and extract the common factors:

#(12xy)(4x+1) + (5z)(4x+1)#

Note and separate out the common factor from each term:
#(4x+1)(12xy+5z)#
