If we simply graph these two lines we will discover that they are in fact the same line and therefore there are infinite solutions: every point in one line is also in the other.


Graphing these two lines will show that they are exactly the same line. Dividing the second equation given throughout by #4# shows that it yields the first equation.

As such, there are infinite solutions to this system, since there is an infinite number of points in a line, and every point that is in one line is also in the other.
