How do you write "n choose k" using the math formatting on Socratic?

The \binom and \choose commands from LaTeX don't seem to be working, and I couldn't find it on the Socratic Help Center.

Without hashtags, "((n),(r))" or ""^nC_r ".

Explanation:

You have to write this as though you are writing a matrix.

We do this as "((n),(r))".

This will look like $\left(\begin{matrix}n \\ r\end{matrix}\right)$.

You could also write "^nC_r, which looks like " "^nC_r ", or ""_nC_r, which looks like " ""_nC_r ".
