No one knows, but probably billions.
Explanation:
Galaxies are discovered using visual telescopes. The more distant ones require telescopes that can analyze spectral shift. The "how many have been discovered" is difficult because making an actual count is impossible right now. At present only a few thousand have been catalogued.
