Rewrite the middle term as ...

#y=6x^2 + 15x - 8x - 20#

[Note: #15xx-8=6xx-20#]

Now, use grouping ...

#y=(6x^2 + 15x) -(8x + 20)#

#y=(3x)(2x+5)-4(2x+5)#

#y=(3x-4)(2x+5)#
