# What are the y-intercepts of 2x+y^2=36 ?

The y intercepts are given when $x = 0$.

$2 \left(0\right) + {y}^{2} = 36$

$0 + {y}^{2} = 36$

${y}^{2} = 36$

$y = \pm 6$

Thus, there will be y intercepts at $\left(0 , - 6\right) \mathmr{and} \left(0 , 6\right)$.
