We may directly apply Ohm's Law to get


#therefore I=(24V)/(3Omega)=8A#

(This is a huge current in practice, if one considers that 100mA can be fatal for a human. Also the conducting wires would need to be very thick in order to be able to carry such a large current without melting or causing a fire).
