The period is Pi
Given an arc AM = x on the trig unit circle, with point B at the top. From the extremity M rotates clockwise an arc MN = Pi/6. Next, prolong the radius ON until it meets the horizontal tangent axis BZ at point P. The measure of segment BP is the value of cot x.
