# What is the slope and intercept for y=1/4x+2 and how would you graph it?

Jun 17, 2018

Here, we can use the straight line equation for finding the gradient and the y-intercept for this equation

The equation of straight line:
$Y = m X + C$
and the equation we have is :
$y = \left(\frac{1}{4}\right) x + 2$

If you just compare these two equations then u can find the gradient which is $\frac{1}{4}$ and the y intercept is 2.

For values of the graph, if u have domain of 0<5 for example, then put the values of x from 0-5 to get the corresponding value of y.
