Quasar is a point source of radiation, beyond Milky Way. Redshift is an effect of nature/s expansion of space, in between the Earth and a quasar..

Explanation:

(Quasi-stellar) quasar light is perhaps from the Black Hole of a far

distant galaxy, It is seemingly a point source of light.

Redshift happens when light ( or other electromagnetic radiation)

from a far distant object increases in wave length or shifted to the

red end of the spectrum. Redder means increased wave length..The

phenomenon is similar to what happens when the light source is

moved away from us.
