We can solve the system of equation by substitution method. First equation #-x-2y=12# gives us #x=-2y-12#.

Substituting this in second equation #7x+3y=10# gives us

#7×(-2y-12)+3y=10# or

#-14y-84+3y=10# or

#-11y=10+84=94# or

#y=-94/11#

Hence, #x=-2×(-94/11)-12#
