For this case. We have the Final Volume $(V_f)$ and the Dilution Factor $(DF)$ but not the Initial Volume $(V_i)$ .

So this $DF=V_f/V_i$

Becomes this $4=600/V_i$

With some rearranging $V_i=600/4$

Which results in our answer of $V_i=150$ microliters
