First, make the decimal into fraction
#5/10x+63=2x-42#
Transfer all the variables to one side and all the numbers to the other
#5/10x-2x=-63-42#
Remember,
#2=2/1,4/2,6/3,8/4,10/5.......(20)/10#
So, we can write it as
#(5x-20x)/10=-105#
#-(15x)/10=-105#
Multiply both sides by 10
#(-15x)/cancel10 cancel 10 =-105xx10#
#cancel-15x=cancel-1050#
