Phanerogams are included in Division Spermatophyta, characterized by the presence of seeds. This Division is divided into 2 sub-divisions, i.e. Gymnosperms and Angiosperms.
In Gymnosperms the seeds are naked and in Angiosperms the seeds are enclosed in fruit.
