Difference between WORK and ENERGY ?

Work is a form of energy transfer. You do work on the ground whenever you walk and the ground does work on you whenever you walk over it.

Energy is what allows everything to work. Kinematic energy is the energy of movement, for instance if you have a mass of `50` kg and you are moving at `20` m/s, then your kinetic energy is `1/2*50 "kg" (20 "m/s")^2 = 10 kJ`. There is also potential energy (which increases proportionally with height) and several other types.
