You don't add water to acid....because if you spit in acid it spits back...
Explanation:
If you add acid OR base to water, CLEARLY you reduce the concentration of the acid or base....
And so adding acid to water WILL clearly INCREASE the solution volume. The concentration of the acid will DECREASE....
