How do you solve `4x+7=3x+18`?

I would collect all the `x` on the left and all the numbers on the right but remember to change their signs when you move them across the equal sign:
`4x-3x=-7+18`
Notice the change of signs of `3x` and `7`;
You get adding the `x`s and the numbers:
`x=11` which is the result of your equation!

Try to substitute `x=11` in your original equation to check that is the right result!
