# How do you solve 4x+7=3x+18?

I would collect all the $x$ on the left and all the numbers on the right but remember to change their signs when you move them across the equal sign:
$4 x - 3 x = - 7 + 18$
Notice the change of signs of $3 x$ and $7$;
You get adding the $x$s and the numbers:
$x = 11$ which is the result of your equation!
Try to substitute $x = 11$ in your original equation to check that is the right result!
