Are genetically modified organisms (like crops, animals, etc.) the same as cloned animals? Is genetic engineering the same as cloning? If not, what is the difference?

Cloning means making an animal or a plant identical to any other animal or plant respectively.
But genetically modified or hybrid cases means some genetic changes have been brought about in order to compensate for the unwanted or abnormal feature present in the parent animal or plant,hence it's not fully similar to the parent unlike clones.
