Pretty much every food that we eat is genetically modified in some way or another. In fact, I can't think of a food that isn't genetically modified in some way.

The centuries man has selected the best fruits, the best vegetables, and the best animals.

A farmer will cross his best cow this best bull to produce an offspring that is best for the conditions on his farm, or the market. This is genetic modification.

A grower of strawberries will cross the breast strawberry plants to produce the most succulent and tasty fruits. Again, this is genetic modification.
